M'boro 09/10 - Departure and Arrival.

Transfer In - BORO have today completed the signings of Celtic trio Barry Robson, Willo Flood and Chris Killen.

Scotland international Robson makes the move to the Riverside for an undisclosed fee, while Flood and Killen both join on free transfers.

Midfielder Robson has signed a two-and-a-half year contract through to June 2012 with an option for a further year, Flood's contract runs until June 2011 and Killen's until June 2010.

All three players, who previously played for Boro manager Gordon Strachan at Celtic, have passed medicals.

Transfer out - EGYPTIAN midfielder Mohamed Shawky has this morning completed his move to Turkish club Kayserispor on a free transfer.

Shawky, 28, joined Boro from Egyptian champions Al-Ahly on transfer deadline day in August 2007, signing a three-year-contract in £650,000 deal.

A regular for his country, he struggled to break through at Middlesbrough and featured only rarely in the first team.

In total he made 18 Boro starts in all competitions, plus four substitute appearances, with no goals.

He did not feature at all under Gareth Southgate this season and was involved just once since Gordon Strachan's arrival, as a non-playing sub in the FA Cup sponsored by E.ON defeat by Manchester City earlier this month.

Loan Out -

With Didier Digard having completed a loan move to French side Nice for the remainder of the season, Shawky's move will create additional space in the squad for newcomers as Boro look for a strong second half to the season.
