Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has today made a significant move in the summer transfer market, and snapped up Middlesbrough duo Tuncay Sanli and Robert Huth today, according to a report from Sky Sports News, who are also indicating that the joint fee for the pair is in the region of £11million.Huth has passed a medical, according to Sky, after a fee of £5.5million was agreed for the centre-back, a German international.
The fee for Turkish attacker Tuncay is reported as being of a similar size, as Potters boss Tony Pulis looks to introduce some reinforcement to his squad after a quiet summer so far in the transfer market.
Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate was able to confirm that talks were taking place between the two clubs earlier, when he told Boro's official website, "I believe a fee has been agreed with Stoke City and the players are in talks with them.
"At the moment those talks aren't concluded so I'm focussing on what I can affect, and that's the game at Bristol City on Saturday."
