Pre Season - From Alves

I will be reporting for duty at Middlesbrough on Monday along with the other players.

We will be training in England for ten days, and then we fly off for ten more days in Portugal. We’ll be playing a few friendlies in Portugal, including one against Celtic, who are one of the other teams in a four-team tournament that we’re taking part in.

Boro have signed four new players, including the former Aston Villa keeper Thomas Sorensen, a Dutch striker and a central midfielder who was at Real Zaragoza.

I’m feeling excited about the new season, and confident that we are going to have a good campaign. From a personal point of view, I want to pick up where I left off last season, which means, scoring plenty of goals to help my team.
